From atheist to faith
to the living God!
My name is Jürgen Sawitzki, I was born in 1949, married, have three children, five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. After a busy life, I am now retired. As a child growing up in a Christian home, my faith was quickly forgotten as I grew up. A praying child became a blasphemer. Influenced by fellow human beings and reading the wrong things, I completely lost track of the true meaning of life.
Like the prodigal son in the Bible, I have lived for many years. While reading a book, I made a mistake and asked God an honest question. That was the question: “God gives you!” That completely changed my life from one moment to the next. The blasphemer became a person who was led by God on a completely new path in life. Freed from the wrong attitudes towards life and equipped with new insights, I still live today as a person filled with the peace and love of God. Today I know that God is just waiting for a person to turn to Him. One step is enough, God does the rest, because He is only a prayer away from every person.
He waits for us with his arms outstretched.

COME HOME
Dear reader, dear reader of this reading sample.
First of all, I am pleased that you have accessed this reading sample. What I would be particularly happy about, of course, would be if you liked this sample and then read the whole book to the end. But let's first start with what is meant by the title of the book. “COME HOME” sounds like an invitation to make your way to your HOME, the HOME where you have made yourself comfortable, where you can rest after work and enjoy your free time. This was also the interpretation for my HOME for many years of my life! From childhood on, we are shaped by our upbringing so that we know our HOME as a place of encounter, care, love, security and many other characteristics. Sometimes maybe with not so pleasant memories. But it's HOME! For us humans who live here on this earth, it is our HOME. We walk many paths in our lives here on this planet, the pearl of the universe.
Sometimes we leave our HOME and create a new HOME in another place or in another country and that is our new HOME. But the call: COME HOME means something different and I would now like to go into that in more detail.
What, dear reader, have you contributed to your existence, to your coming into the world as a human child and to being who you are now! NOTHING AT ALL! You couldn't even choose your parents, give yourself a name and couldn't decide on many other things that you might have liked to have been different. All of this happened without your intervention. Our parents didn't really have to contribute much either. At the beginning they had a little, nice time together and after nine months the result of this nice time was the miracle of an unimaginably complex body, a human child! You!
Formed from two microscopic cells that divided over and over again until the body was fully developed. And then the necessary spark of life that enables these two cells to develop must have its origin somewhere. Science is now so advanced that it can clone anything that has life. But you can only ever access the existing life. No scientist has ever succeeded in giving life to a creature he created.
Then the day came when we had to leave the sheltered place where everything necessary for life had been taken care of so that we could start our lives independently. So breathing alone, learning to drink from mom's breast, and everything else that's part of the body's routine. And then all the other learning processes; Assigning sounds when your eyes open, learning to recognize what you can see, and, and, and! But luckily there is always someone who is at our side during this time and can help us learn all these things step by step until we can do it on our own. At some point we did it! We cut off our navels and go our own ways. Depending on our talent and abilities, we will undertake an activity in order to earn the money necessary for the necessities of life. Unless you are in the fortunate position of growing up with rich parents and were born with the necessary resources for the necessities of life.
But that's not standard, most people on this earth have to earn their living hard and smell like a ferret at the end of the working day because they're so sweaty. Often the career path is not so easy with envy, bullying and power-seeking from other employees or colleagues. But we also have times when we can relax from the stress of work.
Meet up with friends, pursue a hobby or travel to discover the beauty of this earth. Yes, the beauty of this earth! It is also known as the blue planet, the pearl of the universe. It was only when humans were able to move away from the Earth, overcome gravity, and the Earth became visible from great heights that this beauty of the Earth was revealed. No other blue planet like ours has yet been found in the great, infinite universe. Today, with modern technology, natural science is able to penetrate very far into the depths of the universe.
